Mrs. Dawn Dickinson Parks was born on July 4, 1956 and entered eternal rest on January 17, 2021 in Jefferson, Georgia. With respect for COVID precautions, a private graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens with Reverend Mickey Kirkindoll officiating. Janis E. Crowell, 68, of Athens, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. Due to COVID-19, no services will be held at this time.

Timothy Alfred Janke, born in 1941 died peacefully at his home on January 16, 2021. A funeral service will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, January 21, at 2:00 PM, followed by a private burial at Oconee Hill Cemetery. Dr. Stanley Ralph Wilkinson Sr., 89, went to be with his Savior on Friday, December 11 in Watkinsville, Georgia. Due to COVID, the family tentatively plans to have a celebration of life on March 28 at Young Harris Memorial United Methodist Church on what would have been his 90th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Daily Bread Ministry, the Food Bank, or Young Harris Memorial UMC.

Brady Otis Gilley passed away on December 10, 2020 at his home in Statham. A private family service will be held.

Betty Combs Archer, age 79, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 14, 2020 in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Athens Area Humane Society or Athens Area Habitat for Humanity.

Graveside Service for Mrs. King

Annelle Strickland Ward, 89, of Hull, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Smith officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Celebrating the Life of Mrs. King

Jeanette Kirk King, age 79, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2020 under the care of Kindred Hospice. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 6, in Bernstein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, in Faith Pentecostal Church with the Reverend Billy Fowler and Reverend Christopher Reeves officiating. Mrs. King will lie in state at the church from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour.... Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kindred Hospice and to Mrs. King’s caregivers, Avery Whiddon, Corine Hering and Jamie Pinckard for their loving care during her illness. Virginia Metcalfe Faulkner passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 3, at 3:00 p.m., in Hillcrest (Bowman City) Cemetery, Bowman, Elbert County, Georgia, located 0.5 miles southeast of Bowman. Dr. David Bruce Doc Narrie, of Athens, GA, passed away of congestive heart failure on October 24, 2020. Lucy Cline Huie, a longtime resident of Clayton County, died peacefully on September 27 at home in Athens. She was age 99. A memorial service will be scheduled in late October at the Jonesboro Cemetery.
