Today is a big day for Best Buddies Rescue It’s our three year anniversary. In this three years we have been blessed to save many dogs and puppies who had been overlooked and were in desperate need of a second chance. Please enjoy this quick video of just a few of the sweet lives saved over this first three years in rescue. Best Buddies Rescue is a very small volunteer run rescue that relies heavily upon support from our rescue community to aid in getting these animals ...healthy, ready for adoption, transport them safely and network these precious animals to help find them the forever homes they deserve. We couldn’t do what we do without our supporters. We thank from the bottom of our hearts and appreciate every link in our rescue chain from our Volunteers, Fosters homes, Rescue partner up north East Coast Canine Rescue Inc, Vets offices and our Donors. We also work very diligently to help reduce the source of over population of dogs in our local shelters by educating and assisting folks with spay and neuter programs. Please spay and neuter your pets not only for their health but to help reduce the overwhelming number of pets in shelters every year. We understand that each case is different, however this process ensures a happy outcome for both you and your fur baby! Step One: Scroll through our Adoptable Dogs file under photos on our Facebook page. All current available dogs are located in this folder. Step Two: Once you have found one that you are interested in, email us at [email protected] to request an application. Complete the application and email back to us! Step Three: BE PATIENT! Allow time for our devoted volunteers to review and fit each application accordingly. We appreciate your patience as this can take 7-10 days for review, depending on the number of applications that we are processing at that time. Step Four: IF we feel that you may be a good fit for one of our dogs, a volunteer will personally contact you and schedule an in-home visit. Step Five: Once scheduled, a BBRI representative, foster parent and dog will come to visit you in your home. Step Six: If a perfect match, an Adoption Contract will be signed, and you will have the opportunity to welcome a wonderful dog into your life. Please understand that an adoption fee of $200 will be charged at time adoption contract is signed. This fee has many purposes. First it ensures that you are committed to the responsibility and costs associated with pet ownership, it also covers the cost of your new pets vetting that was done prior to him/her being placed in available status. This fee is non-negotiable as it ensures the safety of our pets and integrity of the adoption process.
