More on David Livingstone. I read a detail about his funeral that brought tears to my eyes. As the body of Livingstone was carried through the streets of London on its way to its final resting place in Westminster Abbey, one man wept openly. A friend gently consoled him, asking if he had known Livingstone personally . I weep not for Livingstone but for myself, the first man said, adding, he lived and died for something, but I have lived for nothing.

The Lord opened us a big door in Haiti in August 2015. In obedience to his command to His disciples,to give a hungry crowd, something to eat ( Mark 6:35-37), we launched a backyard gardening project. From a small plot of land with 8 youths, the vision took off. In less than 4 months, 3 more gardens were created and with more than 25 young horticulturists. For the past 4 years fresh produce has been freely given to widows, orphans and the poor. Breaking the cycle of poverty by... empowering Haitians to care for themselves. Thus restoring dignity. At this writing, Haiti is going through civil unrest. Food is scarce and expensive. We are praying for the purchase of a piece of land ( 9 acres) on the outskirts of the town of Les Cayes for implementing our vision of sustainable living. The cost of that real estate is $77,000. A way out of hunger for at least 40,000 people leaving in and around Les Cayes. That’s less than $2 per person!!! It’s worth your prayers and your investment for the kids and the poor.
