Well, the time has come, this is our last week to be open in this location. I finally convinced Mitch to lower the prices one last time. I don’t even know what to say except thank you all for not only becoming friends but loyal customers. We are sad to be closing but I know this is necessary for our family. My own honey do list is miles long and will take me a long time to finish it. It’s over whelming to even think of getting started. Most importantly is cleaning our m...om’s stuff from the basement and getting my daughter and her twins moved in. At least I have begun that process. Cleaning out almost 13 years of things she collected is hard. Memories in so much of it. She is doing great with my sister and getting spoiled. We will be taking orders for quilting on Mondays 10am to 4pm. And Saturdays 10am to 3pm. Please call to make an appointment, 678-707-1677. These will also be pick up days. It will probably take up to a week to get set up after we are completely out of the shop, so I thinking around Saturday April 14th will be our first day to be open at our house. I will give directions to our house when you call for your appointment and keep you informed if anything changes. We will have some 108 backing if you need it, and of course we can supply batting. As most of you know Miss Betty is leaving us, she is moving in with my sister Lois up in Illinois. She will be flying out on January 15th. We are having a going away/Birthday party for her on Saturday January 13th Probably starting around noon until 3. Miss Lola is also retiring. She is finally feeling better after her knee replacement surgery. They will both be sorely missed! Eli went to see Dr. De Cook (his surgeon) on December 18th, and was scheduled for surgery the next... day! He’s doing great!!! Actually getting up and walking around! And now for the hardest part. It is with heavy heart, but after the year we’ve been through and so much more to come, not only with Eli but for the much-needed work that has to be done in order to clean out the basement and move the daughter and grandchildren down stairs, we have decided to close the quilt shop. March 17th will be our last day open for business.
