Volunteer Garang Buk Buk had a difficult upbringing, then was a child soldier in South Sudan. When he finally gained the chance to get an education, he devoured the written word and became a scholar. Now a graduate student in the Master’s of Development Practice (MDP) program in Emory Laney Graduate School, Garang studies global development so that he can return to foster social and economic progress in his home country. Volunteering often at BFA, he also raises money fund book containers back to his home country. We love this guy!
