Tera Edwards, a parent at Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School, has been named to State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ 2021 Parent Advisory Council. The ...selection is based on nomination by the school and will allow Edwards to represent the District in discussions that help shape education policy in the state. Family engagement is essential to the success of our students and has never been more important than now, Edwards said. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the State Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council. I am excited to work with parents from all over Georgia to find better ways to support our teachers, increase family engagement and help our students excel. The Parent Advisory Council will meet twice during the school year, with the first meeting taking place virtually next month. A second meeting will be held in March. See more
