BTCP training is more than a scholastic effort. It is a life on life transfer of ministry skills and knowledge that frequently fosters community among the students and outreach to those around them. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. We are thankful for our longest active teacher of BTCP, Bill Bisset for the consistent investment he’s made in the lives of pastors in East Africa for over 30 years.

BTCP programs conducted in local languages help strengthen the Church and spread the Gospel. Pastor trainers, Simon Peter and Titus share the value and importance of the BTCP curriculum in Swahili and share their hopes for translations into other African languages.

Pastor training continues around the world, even in some of the toughest locations on Earth. Praise the Lord for His care and mercy!

Pastor training is one of the most overlooked areas of missions even though it is a foundational aspect of the Christian calling. Ephesians 4:11-12 shows God’s model for how the work of ministry is accomplished. Pastors and church leaders must equip the saints to serve the church, proclaim the Gospel and b...ring ministries of mercy to the perishing. However, if pastors are not properly trained then their ability to effectively equip the church is greatly hindered, significantly limiting the church’s ability to fulfill the Great Commission. There are an estimated 3,000,000 untrained pastors in the world. Further, church growth estimates indicate that 1,000 more trained pastors are needed daily. Even if every Bible College and Seminary around the world were filled to capacity, this need would not be met. This raises the question, "What can be done?" Over the last 30 years God has grown the seed of Dennis’ vision for training a classroom of pastors in Kenya into something that he never could have imagined. By God’s grace the BTCP curriculum has been translated into more than 30 languages. Approximately 60% of the world’s population can receive theological training through BTCP in their own language. Through the provision of God and a commitment to local multiplication, BTCP’s influence has grown from 1 class of 20 students to over 150,000 graduates. Through God’s leading, the BTCP curriculum is designed to overcome financial, geographic, and educational barriers, expanding its reach from just 1 country to over 100 countries across the globe. We at BTCP praise the Lord for what He has accomplished over 30 years and look forward with faith to what He will do in the future through BTCP.
