Been kind of quiet here over the winter months. Time for Spring and a good snake picture.
The temperatures are a bit cool and there's a breeze, but it could still be time to work off some of that holiday eating. Go get some trails.
It's about time for a warm weather photo.
Yep, the trails are wet yet again and may be for some time based on the weather forecast. Let's see what happens in March.
Merry Christmas everyone.
If you're hiking or biking the Dwelling trail, be aware of trail workers and possible trail closures for next four to six weeks. There will be a trail crew doing extensive maintenance work to improve access for beginning riders.
Following a balmy Monday, it appears that Fall has really set in for a bit. Nice temps to exercise in though compared to mid-90s. Time to pull the cool weather clothes out and dress in layers.
Get out on the trails and enjoy the Fall colors. They won't be around long.
Fall means more night riding in the cool of the evening.
Blankets Creek is getting cleaned up today following Irma's march through the trails. If you hear chainsaws, volunteers are still removing trees.
A view from South Loop. The days are getting shorter, but it's still pretty darned warm.
It appears this sunshine (and heat) is going to stick around for a few days. Time to get back out on the trails, but remember to stay hydrated. If you feel thirsty you are already getting dehydrated. And if you are walking your dog, please bring some water for them too!
With all of this rain folks are curious when the trails for hiking and biking will be open or closed. Your best source for info about trail status will be from the SORBA Woodstock website. http://sorbawoodstock.org/trail-status/
