Good afternoon Bobcat Family! Please note that we are having a Flu Clinic on Thursday, November 19th @ 9 AM The Houston County Health Department is partnering with the Houston County Board of Education (HCBE) again to provide a flu vaccination program to children at school at no out-of-pocket expense to families. Every year many children are infected by the influenza virus, causing serious illness and missed days of school. Also, an infected child can spread the flu to othe...r members of the family. Vaccination is the best way to protect your child from this potentially serious disease. All staff, students, and families are encouraged to get vaccinated by a healthcare provider or come to one of the HCBE Flu Clinics. Flu Vaccine Consent Forms went home in the Wednesday Folders. If you would like to have your student(s) vaccinated on November 19th, please complete the Consent Form and return it in their folder. You will also find all the information on our clinics and the necessary forms attached to this post. You can also pick up a form from the front office. Next week BPS will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. This is a great opportunity to teach our students to make healthy choices. The national theme this year is, "Be Happy! Be Brave! Be Drug Free!" We will emphasize this theme each day with special activities and fun opportunities to dress up and show our Bobcat spirit!

We've almost had 50 incredible days of learning! Let's celebrate with by dressing in our best 50s attire on Oct 23rd!

Cookie Dough is IN!!!! We knew it would be sometime this week, but today is the day! It has just arrived and we want to get it to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please read this post thoroughly so you know what to do and when to do it! 1) We have three pick up windows for you to come get Cookie Dough. Please stay within these windows and call us if you need any kind of special help. *Today, October 19th from 1:00 - 2:15... *Tomorrow, October 20th from 9:00 - 2:00 *Tomorrow, October 20th from 4:30 - 6:00 2) You will use the bus ramp behind the school to pick up the cookie dough. That means you will enter the school at the top of the hill (not the entrance by our sign). 3) When you arrive, call us at 478-922-2194 and we will come down and help you. It will actually be very similar to how we did the drive through open house. Please be sure to call us or we will not come down because we won't know you are waiting on us. You are invited to join the BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB! You can donate a book to the library in honor of your child, grandchild, niece or nephew on this special day, which will become part of our school library book collection. You may also select a name plate for each book donated. The book that you chose will be delivered at the beginning of the birthday month.
