YOU CAN RECOVER FROM TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES Today's message will be based on what the Bible says about suffering, pain and trauma and God's response to them. Then we will turn our attention to four steps to help you recover from past, present or future trauma. When you trust God, He will restore your hope and He will give you the strength to recover from whatever trauma your have encountered.

CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK ABOUT PAIN Two of life's most perplexing questions are why does pain exist and why does God allow it? While these questions are older than King Solomon, the Bible reveals God's view about how believers can redeem the pain they encounter. In fact, tomorrow in worship we will consider five ways God wants you to use your pain for good. DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS ONE HOUR AHEAD TONIGHT BEFORE GOING TO BED SO YOU WILL BE ON TIME FOR WORSHIP AT 11 AM.

YOU CAN DEFEAT DISCOURAGEMENT God wants us to rethink the way we think about the things that discourage us. With so many bad things taking place in the world, there are a number of reasons why we could become discouraged. The pandemic has caused many to become discouraged about their job, their finances, their relationships as well as their physical, mental and spiritual health. Discouragement can be debilitating. The end result can be to give up trying, caring, hoping and believing. The Bible speaks to us about discouragement. God's good news about how to defeat discouragement will our our focus in today's sermon.

YOU CAN WIN OVER PERSISTENT TEMPTATIONS When it comes to temptation, are you stuck in a cycle? You have good intentions about resisting the temptation that plagues you most and for a while you succeed, but then something happens and you give in to it. The result is guilt and shame. Jesus doesn't want you to live in that vicious cycle. Instead, He provides the way to rethink your response to temptation and the predictable pattern Satan uses to tempt you. In worship today..., you can learn the things that can help you be victorious over your greatest temptations. By the way, it's okay to get close to Jesus. He doesn't have COVID-19.

RETHINK THE PROBLEM OF SIN Today, our pastor will show us how to rethink sin and its power in our present lifestyles so we can break the grip it has on us. Join us at 11 AM for our weekly gathering around the Lord's Table. Our worship is to praise Jesus and to remember what He has done for us.

THE MIND OF CHRIST Over the next several weeks, we will learn how to think like Jesus by studying His life and teachings. As we apply what we learn, we will develop the mind of Christ and our lives will be happier, healthier and holier!

CHOOSE TO MANAGE YOUR MIND Our current sermon series is all about rethinking our lives. Tomorrow, our pastor will challenge us to choose to manage our minds by sharing three biblical reasons why it is important to manage our minds followed by three daily choices we can make to manage our minds. God invites us to think like Him and the way to do that is to study the life of His Son because Jesus knows how to think like His father.

JESUS CAME TO GIVE US HIS LOVE While we we estranged from God, Jesus loved us by dying on the cross for our sins. His love was so strong and powerful that death could not hold Him. He was raised victorious to live forever. Now He invites us to receive His love, be forgiven for our sins and to adopted into God's family.

JESUS CAME TO GIVE US GREAT JOY The message of Christmas is that Jesus came to bring joy to our chaotic world. The angel said to the shepherds, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Jesus is that good news!
