Brooks County Board of Commissioners would like to wish all of our citizens a safe and Happy Halloween. Be sure to trick or treat North Court St. this evening to allow us to help fill your bags full of candy! Look for our Brooks County Fire Truck to let our Firefighters treat your bags with goodies!!

In observance of the Labor Day Holiday, Brooks County Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2020. We will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 however, our offices, as a reminder, are still secured to appointment only and/or call ahead traffic due to the continued practices of COVID-19 precautions. As a result of the holiday, this has also triggered a new Monthly Meeting date for the Brooks County Board of Commissioners of Monday, September 14, 2020. Labor Day was a creation of the labor movement of the late 19th century and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. We wish everyone a relaxing and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Brooks County Board of Commissioners have announced a scheduled Public Hearing for tomorrow night, Tuesday August 25, 2020, regarding the adoption of our Tax Millage and 5 Year Digest. In addition, a Special Called Meeting and Workshop to review the Monthly BOC Meeting Agenda for the September 14, 2020 meeting will immediately follow. The normally scheduled Monthly BOC Meeting has been pushed out a week in the month of September due to the observance of the Labor Day Holiday on September 7, 2020. All meetings continue to be held at the Ag Auditorium located at 400 E Courtland Avenue, Quitman, GA.
