I sat in (virtually folks!) on the monthly consortium call of 30+ community organizations and leaders this afternoon and deeply sadden to learn that one of the GA Youth Challenge Programs (in Milledgeville GA) was suspended due to a cut in state funding. WHY is it every time there is a need to cut funding the first to go is education and youth services? This is a personal plea--if you have NOT completed the US Census PLEAS...E DO SO. The Census directly impacts funding for highways, hospitals, schools, and a ton of other programs in our communities. I urge you to think about hospitals after COVID-19...or school lunch being the only meal some kids see on a daily basis. This Census will affect our communities for the next 10 years. Do your part.
