We have been informed that a few people have received a text from 469-786-7601 advising their weapons carry license is ready to be picked up. We DO NOT send out text for this or any other purpose. If you applied online for a weapons carry license, scheduled your appointment and kept your appointment, your license will be mailed to the address that you provided usually no later than 14 days from the date of appointment. Once you complete the application online at www.georgiaprobaterecords.com, you are instructed to call the office to make an appointment to complete the process. Payment is collected at the probate office. A new license is $79.00 and a renewal is $30.00.

The Bryan County Probate Office in Pembroke will be closed on Friday, August 21 due to the courthouse being closed for maintenance. The Probate office in the Richmond Hill Annex will be open during normal business hours by appointment only.

Beginning August 2nd, 2020, the fee for a NEW weapons carry license will increase by $3.00 to $79.00. The change is due to GCIC increasing the fee for processing fingerprints. Also includes a fee for postage to mail license to applicants once approved. The fee for renewal will remain $30.00.
