The November meeting of the Burke Co. Genealogical and Historical Society will be Monday, November 14, at 6:30pm, at the BURKE COUNTY MUSEUM. Note that is the a change from our usual meeting place. We will serve light refreshments. This month's topic is the 1918 Sinking of H.M.S. Otranto, near the end of World War I. There were casualties and survivors from Burke County and many nearby counties, please join us to learn more about the story of their service and sacrifice.
The Burke County Genealogical and Historical Society meet Monday October 10 at the Burke County Library. This month's topic is relic hunting...if you have anything to show, please bring it!
