At the Thomasville YMCA, the safety and wellbeing of our members, staff, volunteers and the broader Thomas County community have always been and will always be ...our top priority. We have been diligently monitoring the developments surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) and have taken several proactive steps in order to best ensure we maintain a safe facility. After much consideration, the Thomasville YMCA has determined it to be in the best interest to make some changes to our facilities and programs. The following will go into effect Monday, March 16th until March 30th. Everett-Milton YMCA- Basic member services will be available including the wellness center (Cardio & Weight Room), basketball gym, and indoor pool. The following programs will be cancelled during the 2 week period: Group Exercise Classes Child Watch Center Swim Lessons All other activities will be rescheduled for a later date. Butler-Mason YMCA- Basic member services will be available including the wellness center and basketball gym. The following programs will be cancelled during the 2 week period: Youth Sports (Games and Practices) After-school Child Care Swim Lessons Swim Team Gymnastics Kung Fu Tennis Lessons All other activities will be rescheduled for a later date. Program Directors will be contacting coaches with updates as we have more information to share. Weston YMCA Programs & activities will be cancelled during the 2 week period. Staff is taking extra precautions to ensure that our facilities are regularly cleaned and sanitized, but please help us by washing your hands, cleaning equipment after each use, and staying home if you feel sick. We are only allowing YMCA members into the facilities at this time. We understand the inconvenience this may cause. Please know that we are doing our best to ensure that we remain open and helpful to the community. These modifications are our best options at this time. Please also know that this is a fluid situation and additional changes may be necessary. We are treating this matter with the utmost concern. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates to keep you informed and safe to the best of our abilities. Sincerely, Tom Everett Thomasville YMCA CEO
