We have been made aware of citizens receiving phone calls from the police department's phone number, in reference to them having a warrant or lawsuit. During these phone calls the callers are trying to retrieve debit/credit card information to pay money to prevent the warrant/lawsuit. This is a well known scam and the Byron Police Department will never call you and request your debit/credit card information over the phone.

On 03/10/2021, the two subjects pictured below committed a burglary at Public Works on New Dunbar Road at approximately 0250 hours. The vehicle pictured below is believed to be the vehicle the subjects were driving. Anybody with information identifying the two subjects and vehicle are asked to please contact Detective Patterson at 478-956-2493.

Walker Rd is closed from Old Hickory to Old Oak Dr for a traffic crash.

There is currently a water main break on Walker Rd that is effecting water/water pressure. The city is currently working to repair the break and will have everything restored ASAP!

The City of Byron Administrative Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, January 18, 2021, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. We will reopen, during regular business hours, Tuesday, January 19!

On 8/21/2020, just after midnight 6 subjects entered the Byron Powersports. 2 Yamaha YZ125s and 1 Suzuki RM-Z450 were stolen. A reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the individuals involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Melanie Bickford at 478-956-2493.
