Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wing

Dixie Wing member Jeffery Johnson recently used our museum to film a scene for a virtual Veterans Day program for Cox Enterprises where Jeff works. Jeff wrote, directed, and produced the video which features a Veterans Day flag raising in tribute to Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Robert Friend. Several Cox military veteran employees submitted short video clips which Jeff pieced together into a virtual roll call. #veteransday

Story Time: Pappylocks and The 3 Rednoses. Don't worry, Pappylocks didn't eat all of their oil! But, he tried because he's powered by an R-2800 and those big radial engines need a lot of oil to keep them purring! Our P-51 will be headed to Cullman Airport in Alabama this afternoon. Come see us there tomorrow, 9am-3pm, at the Cullman County Veterans Day Celebration.
