The best card EVER!!!! This is a handmade card from one of our clients who is awaiting trial in jail. This year it is especially hard for those who are in custody without a bond or unable to post a bond due to money concerns, due to COVID they have no idea when they will be able to resolve their cases. Receiving something like this reminds us why we do a job most frown upon. Everyone deserves love and someone who will advocate for them. That is how the system was designed. Please pray for God’s peace to cover them in their cells.

The Georgia Justice Project, ReEntry Program working in conjunction with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney and Solicitor’s General’s office is hosting a job fair at Tabernacle Baptist with many employers present. Also, many local area attorneys, including Cam Law, will be present to go over Georgia’s Record Restriction Process and provide you more in...formation on your how to determine your eligibility for record restriction and how to begin the process! We really want to have a good turnout and hopefully get Carroll County working so tell EVERYONE!

Actual review from an actual client’s family member. This client was facing very serious charges of Attempt to Rape, Aggravated Assault, and false imprisonment carrying a potential 60 year maximum sentence. The prosecutor very early on REFUSED to negotiate AT ALL despite the charges being over-charged or trumped up.The Judge assigned would not accept negotiated pleas past only the second court date, and set this client’s trial on serious felonies a mere 11 days from final ...calendar call. Knowing that not just her client’s liberty was at stake, but the livelihood of his family was in the balance, CAM LAW, Attorney McMichael, and Investigator Jimmy Adams hunkered down and prepared a solid defense and strategy. On the morning of trial, instead of begging and pleading with the court or the prosecutor, we announced READY FOR TRIAL! Our ready announcement lead to a series of events that surprised the prosecution and that resulted in the judge accepting a plea with our client receiving misdemeanor probation with his record restricted and only a $500 fine!!!
