Cannonball Charge Triathlon

The Cannonball Charge is the ONLY pool swim triathlon in the Chattanooga area! For those of you that want to get into triathlon, but are afraid of swimming in open water, this is the race for you! The swim will snake through 8 lanes of the new Fort Oglethorpe pool. After each length of pool swam, you will go under the lane line and swim to the other side eight times until you have swam 200 yards. You will then get out and run/walk to transition in a grassy field next to the p...ool. The 11 mile bike course is NEW and IMPROVED this year! We have the honor of being able to race through the beautiful and historic Chickamauga Battlefield! The course is mostly pancake flat and is shaded to boot. Please do not litter through this amazing park as we hope to continue the race through the Battlefield’s scenic roads. The run course is a lolipop that is a flat and fast 2 miles for those of that like it short and sweet. It is mostly shaded with an aid station that you will pass twice for plenty of hydration.
