While traditional seasonal patterns would cause sales to slow down in early fall, the unexpected effects of the pandemic have added additional motivations to homebuyers this year. Homebuyers have a newfound desire for more space in their homes for remote work and are moving out of big cities. The low mortgage rates paired with low inventory have highjacked home prices to a historical high. These factors combined have also created a historically fast housing market! A recent ...article published by http://ow.ly/n35450C12oM confirms the growth of medium home list prices of 12.2% this month. With mortgage interest rates at an all-time low of 2.81% in the week ending October 15, affordability has gone up. Homebuyers are willing to take on more debt because their monthly payments are still within their desired budget. Even when rates eventually increase, experts aren't predicting a substantial drop in home prices. There will still be more people wanting to purchase homes than there are homes available, keeping home prices elevated. You can read the full article on realtor.com and don't forget to check out our full list of classes on our website.
