Carmelite Monastery

We are looking for a van which is more dependable than our 1994 Honda Odyssey. It is too small for us and not dependable. There are times when we need to evacuate for hurricanes and go to the doctor or hospital. It is good to be able not to worry about the vehicle breaking down on the way. Please assist us in raising $30,000 to pay for a van. We are looking at one today. Please say a prayer.

A Blessed Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross! Today, the Sisters of Our Lady of Confidence Carmelite Monastery renewed their vows and their intention to take vows at morning mass. Pray for us as we continue to live our vows and our Discalced Carmelite charism.

Thanks again for all the prayers for us. We only have tree debris and moss to clean up. Thank the Lord, there are no trees down or large branches that damaged anything! Please continue to pray for the people of the Bahamas and those in the Carolinas who are suffering more than we have. Our Lady, Star of the sea, pray for them.

Thank you for all the prayers as Hurricane Dorian makes a pass at Savannah! Please continue your prayers for the poor people of the Bahamas and those in the path of the storm yet to come - South Carolina and beyond. We are safe and sound! Thanks to all who have been so good to us!

Today is the Carmelite Feast of St. Elijah the Prophet. We Carmelites honor him as a founder of the order. Elijah, pray for us! May we be silent and still so that we might hear the voice of God and at the same time, be Zealous for the Lord God of hosts!
