Today Carroll County Emergency Management conducted a weather briefing at the Emergency Operations Center attended by local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, power and utility companies, and schools throughout the West Georgia area. The biggest concerns at this time will be wind and rain threats as we are shaded in the dark red area for potential wind gusts up to 60 mph. The timing appears to be between midnight and 7am at this time, however weather conditions can ...change quickly along with the timing of the storm. Our area is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and we ask that you began to prepare for this event by ensuring outdoor furniture is secured or put away along with any valuables you may have outside that could be blown away or become a projectile. You may want to also consider charging electronics and have a weather app or radio near by that can keep you updated on the conditions. We also ask that you stay off the roads after midnight if possible as down trees and power lines are the biggest concern until the threat has passed. We will continue to monitor this situation and want you to be sure in knowing that we are prepared and your safety and that of our first responders is our first priority. #BeWeatherAware #BeSafe #CarrollCountyGA

Come and celebrate our Presbyterian roots with the Kirking of the Tartan. Sunday, Oct. 25. This year we won't process from the square so meet on the front lawn of the church at 11:00. Bring a chair and ushers will help place everyone at a safe social distance. Please wear a mask because we're protecting our vulnerable. If you want a bulletin, go to our website (link below) to print one out ahead of time or just look at it on your cell phone. ... If you feel so moved, wear your best plaid. If you can't make the live service, join us here- http://www.carrolltonpresbyterian.church/cpc-live/ Blessings!
