Here are some tips on how to manage diabetes! Keep moving! Exercising weekly at least 150 minutes. (30 mins a day for 5 days) can assist with maintaining a healthy weight. Monitor your blood sugar levels. Blood sugar levels should be checked when you wake up, before a meal, 2 hours after and at bed time. Maintaining a glucose log can help to keep track of any highs and lows with your glucose levels. Set an A1C goal of 7% or less. Work with your healthcare provider on your personal A1C goal. Call Christ Community at 706-922-0600 for an appointment! Monitor your carbohydrates. This is important as carbohydrates break down and turn into sugar. That reflects 61.9% of households that responded on their own plus an additional 31.2% counted by census takers going door to door....
