The 2020 Census will enter into a new phase beginning August 11th and we need your help! The timeline for the 2020 Census has been extended due to COVID-19. Hand delivery of invitations by Census employees concluded July 9th. Self response will be open until October 31st. Representatives will begin in person visits August 11th for household who have not responded. Group quarter counting will continue through September 3rd. Chatham County has a current self response rate of 5...5.5%. This falls behind the current state rate of 58.1%. We want to reach as many residents as we can prior to August 11th! What is your reason for completing the census? Let us and everyone know your why by creating a poster and posting it to your social media.
