Anyone want any raffle tickets to help out a good cause? Contact Lisa King if you’d like to buy some. There’s a list of the raffles at the bottom and you don’t have to be there to win.

It’s been a while since we have posted, but with corona and everything, everything has just been off. The past month has also been rough for our fishing family as most know that we lost a great friend to a boating accident. Please everyone continue to pray for the King family and our bass club. Thankyou for all the messages, calls and prayers so far and please continue to pray for us as we move forward.

Our 1st Annual Casting in Pink Fishing Tournament will take place on OCTOBER 31, 2020 at Dennis Station on Lake Sinclair. United in Pink is a 501c3 non-profit o...rganization serving families impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis. This event started as a tribute from Roy Wimberly, one of our survivors’ husbands who wanted to celebrate his wife, Ashley’s completion of her breast cancer treatment by giving back to United in Pink for supporting their family during her journey. The event was initially scheduled to take place on April 25, 2020 but due to COVID-19 had to be postponed. In the short weeks around this time, Ashley’s cancer returned with a vengeance and at the age of 33, she tragically lost her battle but gained her wings. In addition to this heart-breaking loss, one of our Casting in Pink committee members, Chris King, an avid fisherman, and spouse of another survivor we have served, was killed in a tragic boating accident. Our family mourns these two sudden losses and vows to continue this tournament in honor and in memory of Ashley and Chris. The United in Pink family and the Casting in Pink committee appreciate your support of this 1st annual event. The proceeds will be used to provide physical, psychological, educational, financial, and relational support to families like the Wimberly’s and King’s throughout Central Georgia. We thank you for your consideration of support!

The past few months have been a little crazy but we are still fishing. In the past we’ve have done raffles for a cooler to help raise some money for our club. This year we have decided to do a tournament instead of the raffle. We will be have a tournament at Lake Tobesofkee on Friday August 14. This date has not been set in stone yet and there will be more details to come. If you would like to fish, or know someone who would, the please help spread the word. Just keep an eye out and once we finalize all the details we will post on here.

We started out the new year on a pretty good note at Tobesofkee on Saturday. We got a little wet but the fish were still biting. Congrats to: 1st & BF- Joshua Purvis... 2nd- Michael Wilder 3rd- Matt Gilliam If you’re interested in fishing with a bass club this year, come check us out at our next meeting, Monday February 3. We will be going to Blackshear in February, so if the weather cooperates then that should be a good tournament too.
