Chabad of PTC is raising funds for Elisa Price, Aliza bat Rochel Leah to have a Jewish burial. As you all know, Elisa has been fighting colon cancer for the past 3 years. She has been unable to work for the past 2 years and her husband, Robert, was recently laid off and is currently out of work. Due to major medical expenses, their finances have been depleted and there are no funds to pay for her funeral. Her final wish is to have a Jewish burial in Atlanta, allowing her to b...e close to friends and loved ones. With your help, we aim to fulfill this wish. With her family's and Rabbi Lew's blessing, we are writing this letter to ask our community to help raise $7000 to cover Elisa Price's funeral expenses. All funds raised will be used for funeral expenses only. By making the donation through Chabad of PTC, it is tax-deductible. Those of you who know Elisa, know how she warms a room when she walks in the door. You may not know how much she gave to the community at large, being involved in animal rescue and raising money, collecting blankets for other cancer patients while going through chemotherapy herself. She and her family are eternally grateful to the community in metro Atlanta and Chabad of Peachtree City, and appreciate the ongoing support. She is currently in hospice and her time left on earth is short. Any donation amount is welcomed and makes a difference. Please help Elisa by donating at https://southside.raisegiving.com/ See more

Your Daily Dose of Jewish Wisdom: The month before Rosh Hashanah, taught Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, is a precious month. For thirty days, you can find the U...ltimate King awaiting you outside the city, on a rustic path that winds through an empty meadow. What’s the advantage of meeting the King in a meadow? Because when you meet the King in His palace of the Days of Awe from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, much stands between you and Himthe carpet, the throne, the royal robes, the protocol, the language you must use, the awe and magnificence of the palace But in the field, the King wears blue jeans. And so do you. He even greets you with a smile, and expresses His delight that you came out to see Him. Now it’s just you with the King. Tonight is 26 years since we have seen our Rebbe. He left us with one job. To usher in a world filled with goodness and kindness, where every being recognizes the light above and the light within.
