Kimaya was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Stage lll Immature Teratoma. Upon hearing her story, Darius from Eleven11 Extensions in Atlanta wanted to brighten her day. He did just that! During a recent visit to HOPE For Kids Clinic, Navicent Health, Kimaya was surprised with a box from Eleven11 Extensions that included a new wig that's more flexible and can be styled easily!

The DAISY Award recognizes nurses for patient care that goes above and beyond. Kristi, a nurse in our general pediatrics unit, is the latest at Navicent Health to be recognized! According to her DAISY nomination, "Kristi goes above and beyond with every patient and family she works with and always looks for ways to make their hospitalization experience better." During a recent patient encounter, Kristi volunteered to come and sit with a patient on her off days following th...e working of three shifts, reading books, playing with toys, giving him baths, taking him on wagon rides, and holding him while he slept. This dedication greatly improved the patient's demeanor! "Not only did Kristi touch his life, but she touched the lives of other staff members by inspiring us all to go above and beyond.
