CTH had the sweetest visitor today who donated TONS of clothing for our new survivors closet. She even took the time to organize our current set up! We are so thankful for people like Sami Cole who value the children who come in and out of our center every day. It’s people like her that help us continue doing what we do! Thank you, Sami, for serving CTH and our children and families! . . . If you are interested or know of someone interested in donating to CTH you can send us a message here, or call us at 706-327-9612 extension 1504

This time of uncertainty might be triggering some unwanted behaviors in children. Talk to them about their fears and give them tools to handle them by modeling appropriate ways to handle stress. #nameyourfeelings #childrensmentalhealth

We are happy to report that we have had success conducting tele-forensic interviews with our MDT partners. . Pictured here is Forensic Interviewer, Brittany Riddle, Detective Vardman with Columbus Police Department and DFCS case manager, Ms. Jamila Smith (through secured teleconference). .... The National Children’s Alliance, Montclair State University, and Central Michigan University partnered with an emergency working group of leading experts in the field of forensic interviewing, including researchers, developers of forensic interviewing protocols, master trainers in forensic interviews, and representatives from the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations. This working group provided guidance to CACs on when, whether, and how to provide tele-FI for children as a safe alternative in emergency situations. . .Having this service available to our MDT members helps us to keep our children & community safe during these critical services! #criticalservices #childabuse #childadvocate #childadvocacy #forensicinterviewer #community #essentialworkers #lawenforcement #covid_19 #wearamask

Resilience is the ability to recover from difficulties. One of our therapists shares these tips and tools for helping your children enhance resiliency in this difficult time. The great thing about resiliency is that once your child has these tools in their tool belt they will be able to use them for other difficulties they will inevitably face in the future. #resilience #fosteringresilience #kidsmentalhealth
