FYI Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced that tax day will be delayed from April 15 to July 15. You now have until July 15, 2020 to file your taxes.

Yesterday the IRS announced that the tax season would be extended. Let’s clarify exactly what that means: Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced a three-month reprieve for the payment of taxes normally due April 15th. The deferral of the tax payment is interest and penalty free for 90 days up to $1 million for an individual taxpayer and $10 million for a corporation.... The announcement does not change the April 15th due date of the return. You still need to file your taxes. Only payment of tax is delayed. There is no mention of 2020 first quarter estimated tax payments normally due April 15th. You need to still file your taxes by April 15th.

If you filed an extension for your 2018 federal taxes in April today is the last day you can electronically file. You have until midnight to get them done without penalty.

FYI: When you are applying for loans and credit cards etc. Please do not use Chishom Tax & Business Service business number as your personal phone number. I have had several calls from bill collectors looking for clients. I would hate to have to give them your correct phone number and address, I will do it if I keep getting calls.
