We know that men have not typically been comfortable discussing issues about their health, particularly conditions like #diabetes, #hypertension, #prostatecancer and other chronic conditions. This has generally resulted in shorter and less healthy lives for men in the United States compared to women. This November, NACDD is proud to support an expanded #Movember men's health awareness campaign and #NationalDiabetesAwarenessMonth. Traditionally, #Movember recognizes men’s he...alth issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental illness. Since chronic diseases (e.g., cancer, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, arthritis, hypertension, etc.) are the leading cause of death and disability in the Unites States, NACDD will share resources and facts on how these conditions affect #MensHealth-which may be especially useful in these uncertain times of #COVID19. https://tinyurl.com/yyraceog
