City of David Covenant Church

Sunday June 10th will be our last service at City of David. It has been a truly amazing experience with lots of fond memories and friendships that are very dear.... Pastor Al Sadler and his lovely wife Jean will continue their ministry as Church of New Beginnings, and the other churches that have been under our umbrella will still have a place to worship. Two years ago I started a new position with a large congregation in Atlanta that has proved to be a tremendous blessing, and also a considerable challenge to function in these two different capacities. I have come to the conclusion that I cannot continue to serve with any true level of excellence for the sustainable future and must let go of something. I want to thank all of you that have been a part of the music, the magic, the ministry. Thank you for your support and encouragement, the bonds of covenantal relationship, the laughter and tears that were shed together. My heart is truly a bag of mixed emotions, a bittersweet sadness at the conclusion of a season, and a tinge of expectation at what the Father has in store for us in this new season. I ask for your prayers for us as we embark on a new season as we pray for each of you that have meant so much more to us than words could ever describe. Blessings Pastor C

I just have to brag a little about our congregation. Charles started his new job and we were going to have to change our meeting time. Charles's new leadership ...was concerned about how that would affect us. Everyone embraced the change with enthusiasm. The service yesterday was amazing!!!! Our first service at 5:30 was amazing. Charles Hodnett had an impactful sermon about spiritual healing as well as physical healing. Some time it's the religious... people that actually block the way to Jesus as in the case of the paralytic in Luke 5:17-26. You need to be a friend that cares more than other people think is wise.
