Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held for McDSBC ------------------------------------------------- A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, October 22, 2020, to celebrate the addition of McDonough Small Business Connections to the McDonough Square, located at 2 Macon Street inside of the Clay Plaza building.... With humble beginnings as a group of like-minded local business owners interested in strengthening ties within the community, McDonough Small Business Connections has rapidly grown to encompass a broad support network. McDonough Main Street is very excited to welcome McDSBC to our downtown business district. As the Main Street Board provides support to all the new development happening to our beautiful downtown, we believe that business owner, Darian Cates, brings a youthful excitement and level of professionalism to the new downtown dynamic, stated Keith Sweat, Chair of the Main Street McDonough Advisory Board. Among other benefits, members enjoy access to shared office space, free wifi, storefront opportunities, and monthly networking events. Additional services offered by McDonough Small Business Connections include start-up consultations, in-store branding creations, website consultations, and more. Owning a local business, we have personally seen the value in having a genuine connection with our customers and the public, and we wanted to extend that opportunity to other businesses by giving them a hub within the square to represent themselves also, shared Darian Cates. Visit McDonough Small Business Connections’ website at www.mcdsbc.com, like them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mcdsbc, or follow them on Instagram at www.instagram.com/mcdsbc.

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY HELD FOR IDEAL GYNECOLOGY AND MEDSPA ------------------------------------------------------ A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, October 19, 2020, to celebrate the expansion of Ideal Gynecology and MedSpa to include a South Atlanta office located at 20 Jonesboro Street in McDonough.... The building, which is estimated to have been completed in 1826, was one of the first to be constructed on the McDonough Square, although it was relocated one block from its original site in 1938. Often referred to as the Globe Hotel by those who know its history, the structure has served as an inn, tavern, private residence, and location for businesses for more than a century now. This building is so rich in history and I am confident that Dr. Schapiro will only add to that. The remodeling she has done combines timeless traditional and modern elements for an attractive aesthetic, stated Mayor Copeland. Dr. Lillian Schapiro has been providing women’s health care to the greater metro Atlanta area for over twenty years and is looking forward to being an integral part of the McDonough community, remarked Main Street Manager Cinderella Bennett. We are truly excited about this opportunity to welcome her and the many members of her team. Dr. Schapiro is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, FACOG, a title reserved for those whose education, training, qualifications, competence, and ethical conduct have been thoroughly evaluated and deemed as consistent with the high standards expected by the College. In addition, Dr. Schapiro has proven herself as a global women’s health advocate, serving in locations around the world to include the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, Kenya, and Nepal. For more information, visit Ideal Gynecology’s website at www.idealgynecology.com and Ideal MedSpa’s website at www.idealmedspas.com.
