Saturday evening, January 31st, was a pretty decent day on the water. After the wind died down, the bass started biting.

Lake Lanier is at 1070..09 feet, which is virtually full pool. As such, a lot of trash and heavy debris has floated off of the bank north of Clark's Bridge. Floating logs are plentiful. There is a lot of trash in the water and it's floating downstream. Be careful north of the bridge.

The water is really stained from Clark's Bridge down to Little River.

Gar are plentiful on the north end of the lake. They are fun to catch. I caught this one on a Rapala Crankin' Rap in Shad color. We happened to catch them schooled up and feeding.
