Cadillac vehicles take top honors in J.D. Power’s 2020 Initial Quality Survey and Cadillac CT5, CT6, XT4, and Cadillac Escalade highest ranked vehicles in respective segments. J.D. Power announced today that GM is the highest ranked automaker of 15 companies surveyed in the 2020 Initial Quality Study (IQS) and Cadillac ranked in the Top 3 among luxury brands and was recognized with Highest Initial Quality awards in both car and SUV segments for four of it's 6 2020 models, the... most of any premium brand. J.D. Power IQS measures components that fail and features that are difficult to use, hard to understand or don’t work the way owners expect. This year’s study examines problems experienced by owners of new 2020 model-year vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership. Initial quality is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. Overall, Cadillac vehicles won four IQS vehicle segment awards, including: Cadillac CT5 Midsize Premium Car Cadillac CT6 Upper Midsize Premium Car Cadillac Escalade Large Premium SUV Cadillac XT4 Compact Premium SUV As a brand-new vehicle, this is the first year the Cadillac CT5 has participated in the J.D. Power IQS. Winning its segment is even more impressive considering the CT5 features GM’s new Vehicle Intelligence Platform. We are thrilled to see the hard work and dedication of the entire Cadillac team be rewarded across the car and SUV segments.
