Congratulations to our WLJA Student of the Week, Victor Bennett! Victor is a member of the CCMS band and boys basketball team. He enjoys Science, archery, and art. Victor’s teachers boast about what a wonderful, respectful, and polite young man he is. He always gives his best effort and is a help to others in the classroom. He aspires to one day either join the Army to become a diesel mechanic or the Air Force to become an aircraft mechanic. We are so proud of Victor and all of his accomplishments!!

Great news from the CCMS Band! These four students were selected to the District 9 Honor Band, in addition to one alternate! Yadhira Alonzo-Alcon (8th clarinet)... Deacon Shull (8th trumpet) Nick Wright (6th bassoon) Noah Wright (6th bassoon) Alternate: Logan Mashburn (8th trombone) This is normally a very challenging band to be accepted into, but even more so this year. Way to go Bobcats!!!

Congratulations to our January Heart of Service recipient, Nurse Kelly Smith! She was chosen by her colleague, Chris Maniscalco, for taking care of our students’ health needs each and every day. She helps students with diabetic needs, administers medication, and sees students and teachers when ailments arise all during a global pandemic. We are thankful for Nurse Kelly and all she does for our students and teachers here at CCMS!
