Just a quick reminder to all of our friends and followers to be careful traveling the roads this week if you encounter any of this severe winter weather. If you must go outside please dress appropriately, stay warm and take care of yourself!!

The river is once again back around flood stage. The below shows recent flood stage crests. Thats when the river starts to recede from its highest flood level. Some crests happen a few days after the river rises and sometimes its been out of the bank for weeks on end before cresting. Notice she hit over 18' last February. Below that list is the highest recorded flood crest. 18' is high. Just imagine it being over 29' and what that would mean to the surrounding communities.... Hopefully she will get back down and hold somewhere between 4-7' from the end of March though the summer. Need sandbars and good fishing weather!! Recent Crests (1) 13.35 ft on 01/13/2021 (2) 13.74 ft on 11/30/2020 (3) 12.34 ft on 10/02/2020 (4) 14.16 ft on 06/09/2020 (5) 13.36 ft on 05/03/2020 (6) 18.21 ft on 02/23/2020 (7) 11.78 ft on 12/30/2019 (8) 11.11 ft on 12/23/2019 (9) 13.39 ft on 05/04/2019 (10) 12.47 ft on 04/14/2019 (11) 14.04 ft on 03/12/2019 (12) 16.51 ft on 01/08/2019 Historic Crests (1) 29.70 ft on 10/06/1929 (2) 26.00 ft on 04/13/1936 (3) 23.90 ft on 01/24/1925 (4) 23.60 ft on 03/11/1929 (5) 23.60 ft on 08/22/1940 (6) 22.30 ft on 08/23/1928 (7) 22.17 ft on 12/06/1948 (8) 21.60 ft on 03/29/1944 (9) 20.40 ft on 03/08/1939 (10) 20.22 ft on 04/18/1964

Good morning. The TBF Semi-National qualifer between GA/FL will take place next weekend on the St John's River out of Palatka, FL. If you are a GA TBF club member and would like to fish, there is a boater looking for a co-angler to link with. Can be from any club in the state. If interested let me know and I can get you hooked up with Patrick. You will be responsible for paying your own way. Thanks,

Our October tournament is in the books!! We packed our gear and headed off to Lake Greenwood, SC for what we hoped would be a weekend of big limits of bass. Instead we had reports of plenty of fish being caught but a struggle to get keepers. In the end it didn't take limits to win, just a matter of who could bring in the most that would make the cut. This weekend Mr Barry Descaro and Sawyer Hunt made that happen topping everyone else. Congrats on the 1st place finish guys!! 2...nd place money went to the team of Richard Porsga and David Grumme. Christopher Durden took home the prize money for big fish on Saturday and Brandon Rosenquist got the money on Sunday. We had a great time with lots of camaraderie. From suicidal ducks, buckets and buckets of beer, DAWGS WIN DAWGS WIN , a fantastic low country boil and a grand finale of Greg and Hillary. You had to be there!! Thanks and glad everyone made it home safely.

Tough weekend for most of the field at Eufaula this weekend. As always a few folks find a way to sack up solid limits. But as tough as it was you only had to beat the other anglers to make the state team and head to Florida and the St Johns for the Semi Nationals in a few weeks. On the boater side Lee Butler finished in 11th place. Just ounces from the top 10. On the co-angler side David Grumme had a solid finish and will be representing GA finishing in the top 10. Current Coastal member Sawyer Hunt made the top 10 as well. He was fishing out of another club from last year at this event. Regardless happy for everyone and more importantly happy they got off the water safely after a tough weekend.

Praying for safety for all of the anglers fishing GBCF state championship on Eufaula this weekend. Sally has brought flood waters with lots of floating hazards out there. With that said, still looking for Coastal to bring home a few plaques!!
