During the morning school traffic hours if you see Officers letting vehicles other than buses turn left from Ninth St. onto East Peter St. it's because they have a school employee sign and are allowed to do so.

Attached is the new route for the Primary School school traffic. Vehicles turning onto Ninth St from East Dykes will travel all the way to Crest Dr. Vehicles then will turn left onto Crest Dr. and travel to Twelfth St, turn left onto Twelfth St. and travel to East Peter. Only School Buses will be able travel on East Peter from Ninth St.

Please be advised the Cochran Police Department will never call or send a letter to any citizen requesting donations. Should the department collect any type of donation it would be in person and the officer(s) would be in uniform. If you receive a call from someone asking for money for the Cochran Police Department this is a scam.

THE COCHRAN POLICE DEPARTMENT FRONT OFFICE WILL BE OPEN MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS FROM 10AM TO 2PM. PLEASE CALL 911 IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS. FEEL FREE TO CALL THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND LEAVE A MESSAGE. VOICEMAILS WILL BE RETRIEVED ON THE NEXT WORKING DAY BY STAFF. THIS MODIFICATION IN WORK HOURS WILL BE IN EFFECT THROUGH THE DURARION OF THE STATE OF EMERGENCY, OR THROUGH WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 2020 AT MIDNIGHT. THIS MODIFICATION MAY BE ABBREVIATED OR EXTENDED DUE TO THE CHANGING NATURE OF THE CORONAVIRUS THREAT.
