The US Marshals Service recently awarded Deputy Crosby and Officer Mendoza certificates of appreciation for their commitment to supporting the US Marshal Service Southern District of Georgia. We appreciate all their hard work and dedication!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and the family of Lieutenant Justin Bedwell. Lt. Bedwell paid the ultimate sacrifice for his service. He died this morning after being shot in the line of duty on February 27, 2021. #FallenNotForgotten #EndOfWatch

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former Chief Deputy Joe White. Our deepest condolences go out to Joe White’s family and loved ones. Joe White began selflessly serving the public over 40 years ago. Joe White served Coffee County both as interim Sheriff and Chief Deputy, where many of us had the privilege of working with him. He will be greatly missed.

Several Coffee County deputies and other local law enforcement personnel recently completed a 40 hour emergency medical response training course. This training provides extensive emergency response instruction for our deputies to be better equipped when responding to medical emergencies.
