Remember CCCS during your holiday shopping this season! Though we cannot meet, we are still looking forward to the day where we can once again bring music to our community!

FOR HIRE: The Columbia County Choral Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is searching for an Artistic Director. Applicants must interview with and report to the Board of Directors, and conduct a partial rehearsal prior to being considered. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conducting all rehearsals and performances of the organization. Planning, choosing, and overseeing the theme, music, orchestration and other details for the yearly concert season, ...and recommending these plans to the Board of Directors for approval. Coordinating all enlisting and hiring of guest artists including instrumentalists. Providing a budget for music and orchestral parts, instrumentalists and guest musicians, and other expenses and assisting in the purchase, renting or borrowing of music for all programs. Member Spotlight! Judy Kaye is a soprano in CCCS. She was the president of CCCS for the 2019-2020 season. She is a former nurse and currently works in real estate! She also sings with Wesley United Methodist Church Celebration Choir. In her spare time, she likes to paint. CCCS is so lucky to have her!

Member Spotlight! Philip Hedgecoth spent a third of his life in East Tennessee, a third in Louisville, KY, and the last 20 years in Columbia County, GA. Philip came here to serve as Minister of Music and Education at the First Baptist Church of Evans, and he’s been their Pastor for the past 5 years. He joined the Board of the Columbia County Arts Council at its beginning 20 years ago and served in various positions including President. He’s been the accompanist for the Columbia County Choral Society for about 18 years and has found many friends and much joy in making music with them.
