Robbie Bishop putting in that work during his training session. Proper form can save you from injury. I make sure my clients are using proper form when exercising. I’ve seen people complaining about their lower back hurting when they are doing this exercise and I explain to them the proper form to do it. When this man came to me for training I was a little nervous. He had numerous injuries that he felt kept him from doing certain exercises. He couldn’t do squats, bench press, shoulder shrugs, and a few others. After numerous sessions and advice I’m glad to say his exercise regimen has transformed and he’s working out pain free. As a trainer, I have to hold myself to the same standards I expect from my clients. I preach about the importance of a good diet, so I have to have a good diet. I preach about my clients giving 110% with each workout, so I have to do the same. No matter how my day is going I push myself to have a better workout than the last. I had a client tell me they preferred me to their previous trainers from their past because I was engaged with them through their workout and pushed th...em. Even said they’re glad I’ve pushed them to try new exercises and routines because it’s improved their workout. I told them that this is what I’m there for, to push you, to guide you, to help you because you never know your limits if you don’t try to find them. You never know how far and how hard you can push yourself if you don’t try. That’s what the fitness industry is all about. Helping others while helping yourself at the same time. It’s not about the money, it’s about the connection, the process, the pride in a clients face when they’ve reached or surpassed a goal. See more
