Good afternoon {PHENIX CITY} WMA Family! In light of Governor Kay Ivey's recent amendment to her Safer at Home Order, masks are now required in Public Places throughout the state of Alabama! ALL spectators who wish to watch their child MUST have a mask to enter our facility beginning tomorrow, July 16th. ... We also remind everyone that our location allows ONLY 5 SPECTATORS per class on a first come first serve basis. This also means that ONLY ONE adult is allowed in the building per student. Anyone with children who are not taking classes should REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLE. As for our students: Starting tomorrow, July 16th, students MUST wear their mask while waiting outside to enter the building. They will have the option to remove their mask and place it with their other belongings once their class begins or for those who choose to remain with it on can do so. Gov. Ivey has included "Exceptions for Exercise. The facial-covering requirement does not apply to: Any person who is actively engaged in exercise in a gym or other athletic facility if he or she maintains six feet of separation from persons of another household; Anyperson who is directly participating in athletic activities in compliance with paragraph 11 of this order..." Once your child's class has ended, he or she will gather their belongings, put their mask back on, and exit the building as we have been doing since reopening.
