The winner with the closest guess of the weight of Big Mama is Jody Teet from Crawford, GA. Jody will split the award with the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. Please understand that due to the popularity of the contest, we are not disclosing the weight of this beauty so that you can enjoy guessing again in future contests. We had some really great gates prizes this year at the fair. At 7:30PM, we are pleased to welcome back to the stage, Sons of Sailors. You will love them. Gates open at 6PM. Admission is $5 ages 6 and up. Unlimited rides on the midway is $20. At 11:00PM, we will have our grand prize drawing for a $4,000.00 Gift Card to Bass Pro Shops. Enter your ...ticket stub under the prize tent and you can purchase additional tickets for $1. Also, tonight, we will announce the winner of the Split-the-Pot Contest. You still have time to guess beautiful Big Mama’s weight. Too busy for the evening fair? No worries! We have a Saturday Matinee. Gates open at 12 noon and close at 4PM. Gate admission is $1 for ages 15 up (cash only). Unlimited midway rides are $15 . At noon, visit our show barn for the Open Beef Show. Then, head on over to the concessions where the James T. Rayle American Legion Post 123 will be cooking up some delicious hamburgers, hotdogs and lots more. Visit the arts and crafts, community booths, vendors and of course the exciting rides and games on the midway. Be sure to put your ticket stub in the barrel at the prize tent and your little ones will love you for it. We will have two drawings at 4PM for a girl’s and a boy’s Crossfire bicycle. Don’t miss the fun!

The fair is open tonight. Country River Band will start at 7 PM. The Dairy cow show has been postponed until Saturday at 6 PM. If rain gets heavy tonight or there is lightning, the rides will close for safety purposes.

We had a fun opening night, and there is a lot more fun to come. Wednesday, September 23, join us for the 4-H - FFA Goat and Lamb Show at 6PM. And, we welcome to the stageBluegrass Confidential at 7PM. At 10PM we will draw for our nightly gate prize, which is a $200 Gift Card at A Girl’s Treasures. The Lexington American Legion will be cooking up some tasty treats in the concessions and then you can visit the midway for exciting rides, games and more great food.
