After a successful sale of cool season vegetable plants at the Snellville Farmers Market, the Community Garden @ Snellville has donated all remaining inventory of plants grown in our greenhouse to the following gardens that donate produce to food banks or school gardens. A beautiful dedication ceremony of the new water feature at the Community Garden was held on Sunday in memory of Carol Witts, wife of former Mayor Tom Witts and... their son Rick McGranahan. Memorial donations allowed for this new water feature in the Community Garden@Snellville. Many thanks to all who attended and special thanks to Gretchen Schulz for coordinating, Melvin Everson for giving the invocation and to Father Cyriac for giving the blessing over this new water feature. Special thanks to Kurt Schulz, Brian Hughes, Wes Nettleton and Martha Whitman who contributed to the design and construction of the water feature. See more

The Community Garden has a greenhouse full of fall veggie seedlings that will be available at a farmers market mid to late September (the date will depend on pl...ant growth...watch the SFM Facebook page for the date). The gardeners will have several varieties of broccoli, cauliflower, collards, kale, lettuce and spinach. Proceeds benefit the Community Garden. See more

The Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Association will have a plant sale in the parking lot in front of the Community Garden @ Snellville on Saturday May 30th, 10 am to noon. The garden is located in Briscoe Park, across the street from the city's Recycling Center, 2531 Marigold Road.The instructions for online ordering are below. All orders must be placed by 4:00 pm Thursday May 28th. 1. Scroll right to a column that does not have a name in it 2. Add your name and Email addre...ss. If you scroll to the right you can line up your column next to the price column 3. Type the number of each plant you wish to buy in the Ordered column, it will automatically total your order. 4. Please be aware of the number of plants available as this will decrease when someone orders one. There may be more than one line for the same type of plant. Check carefully.
