How about clinching Accuflanges instead of using #10 x 3/4 Screws and an Impact Driver? It is faster, it looks better, it is safer for the field and it eliminates a landing spot for lint and other debris going thru the Spiral duct. We tested the Trumpf #TF350 Clinching Tool with the #3 die. No luck on 26 Gauge Spiral, but it worked excellent on 24 Gauge, and even better on 22 Gauge. #trumpfpowertools #spiralducting #sheetmetalcontractors #spiralductwork

Vicon uses actual lancing knives with hardened tips for the Button Punch on the Male Snaplock Flange on their coil lines and their Cheekbenders. It’s intentional that the clinch is on the edge of the Male Flange rather than in the middle.
