A Message from My Heart - Conolus Scott Jr. to the citizens of Madison County, Georgia As a life-long resident of Madison County, I have met many of you through my family’s community involvement, my business, and my service to public and church organizations. I know this has been a hard year for most of us. We are tired of the pandemic, a failing economy, and the divisiveness in Washington, D.C. I can't do much about Washington other than cast my one vote. But, together, th...ere is a lot we can do here in Madison County. I believe in the strength and goodness of the people here. We can reduce divisiveness by making the Board of Commission's decisions transparent, and by listening to the advice of all citizens. We can revitalize the local economy by supporting the recovery of local businesses and family farms while encouraging new businesses to locate here. We have challenges that have persisted for years, including poor broadband service and road conditions, and the availability of water and sewer. But we also have new challenges that the Board of Commissioner’s has not begun to address. Many of us have lost jobs, businesses have suffered, and we cannot wait on a recovery that will take months or years. We will have to think carefully about how to use reduced county revenues in ways that will prevent further job loss. We have the capacity to overcome these challenges if together we plan well, make good use of our resources, and manage our money wisely. I will contribute my knowledge of our County, my business background, my lifetime of community service, and my experience in bringing people together to make our County a better place to live, work, and enjoy. I have the support of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, and people of all races and backgrounds. As you go down the ballot, please honor me with your vote to be your representative on the Commission from District 2.
