Have you gone down into the abyss lately? Or perhaps you’re there now? The abyss is something we all face at some point in our lives. To me it is the same as the dark night of the soul, and while it’s not an experience we desire, there are blessings and lessons to be found there, and nowhere else. The tricky part is to not be in such a mad rush to get out of that uncomfortable spot that we miss the point of being there.... As I get older (and hopefully wiser!) one of my favorite questions to ask is, What is this here to teach me? If we sit in stillness to permit the answer to come to us - it will. Does the idea of being in flow with Life sound appealing to you? I love it because when we’re in flow, we are at peace with what IS, and at our most open and yet powerful position. To be otherwise is to fight or at least struggle against Life, and that doesn’t turn out so well. ... And to be in flow, we have to let go of grudges, bitterness and fixed expectations about how things are supposed to go. Seem lazy or too detached a view?
