Our partners are always working behind the scenes to help others. Thank You to Jennifer Lovett and Debra Buckholts who have been completing paperwork and making calls to help get senior residents scheduled for their Covid-19 vaccine at Cook County Health Department. These ladies are always busy with projects to help assist, support, and care for our vulnerable seniors.

This report from the American Farm Bureau shows that two of three farmers surveyed say that the pandemic has impacted their mental health. Farmers and farmworkers were 10 percent more likely than rural adults as a whole to have experienced feeling nervous, anxious or on edge during the pandemic (65% vs. 55%).

Over 81,000 Americans died during the past year...not from the virus, but from drug overdose. This is the highest annual overdose death rate ever recorded in our country, and is an 18 percent increase over the previous year. Opioid overdoses increased by 38 percent nationally and over 50 percent in Georgia. This is incredibly sad and should NOT be happening! If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, don't give up...keep fighting and looking for solutions...keep believing in the hope of recovery.
