We are pleased to let you know we will be gradually re-opening Cortex this Friday, April 24th. However, we realize this raises a number of concerns that we want to address. Rest assured that we will pay the utmost attention to providing you with a clean environment. Going forward, we will continue to do the following: 1. All surfaces will be wiped down with Microban several times a day.... 2. Cutting capes and smocks will be used only once per customer and washed before and after each use. 3. Stylists and support staff will be wearing masks. 4. Styling and shampoo chairs will be cleaned after each use as well as payment terminals. 5. Clients will be scheduled so that there is a limited number of people in the Studio at one time. You may be asked to wait in your car or outside until the Studio is cleared. 6. Social distancing (6 feet) will continue inside the Studio with only your stylist breaching the distance to serve you. 7. Clients should wear masks if at all possible. 8. All reading material and the beverage center has been removed. 9. Cortex reserves the right to decline any client of service if that client is showing any flu-like symptoms or is unwilling to abide by the guidelines. Our clients are the life-blood of our business and we will take every step necessary to make your visit as safe as possible. It has been five weeks since we closed our doors, and while we applied for the Payroll Protection Plan, we simply have not heard anything back regarding our request for assistance. As a result, to remain a viable business, we have no choice but to open our doors again. If you missed your appointment because we were closed these past few weeks, we will reach out to you over the next few days to reschedule. However, if you have a pre-booked appointment coming up in the next 3 weeks, that appointment still stands and we look forward to seeing you then. Thank you for your support this past month!

If you can’t wait another day to cut your bangs, PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Cutting hair is a lot harder than it looks but we have outlined a few pointers below. 1) Use dry hair 2) Pull the hair forward and twist 3 times (this will give it a more natural look)... 3) Be sure there is no tension on the hair 4) We recommend you only cut 1/2 inch at a time and see how you like it.
