This past weekend was a beautiful fall setting, perfect for our Recreation & Parks' Fall Fun for All event. We had 60 participants take part in the event at Ov...erlook Park (kids and their families were nicely spaced out over a three hour window). The program was designed to create an opportunity for children with physical and developmental disabilities to have an inclusive experience with the community. The kids enjoyed mid-way style games, arts and crafts, pre-packaged snacks, water and a bubble station. Participants followed our social distancing markers, and masks provided for those adults that needed them. Our Bird Walk and Wildlife Viewing at Morgan Falls trail/dam area was also well attended. Our group "gathered" for a quick photo. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in distancing and mask wearing, enabling these great events to happen.

This weekend we had our first program in the series, Wild Explorers. Participants attended at Big Trees park where they played in the creek and learned about different rocks as well as the wildlife there. Pictured are two participants investigating a fish they caught before gently releasing back into the creek. Check out our more of our programs on our FB page!
