It's finally time to share some big exciting news!!! As you all know Mrs. Rheta has retired and decided to sell the Barbershop. Though she will be missed we wish her nothing but the best and hope she enjoys every minute of retirement. With that being said we would like to introduce, welcome and congratulate Brook Coody Yarbrough on becoming the new owner of The Country Gentleman.... Brook started her passion for hair in 2012 with a dream of owning her own Barbershop! She is excited to start the next chapter in her career and cannot think of a better place than the city of Claxton to do so. Brook will start taking walk-ins Monday 11/30/20 but also willing to make appointments for anyone wanting one! Y'all join us in welcoming Brook to The Country Gentleman!!!

Hey y’all!!! Just wanted to remind everybody that I will be closed tomorrow October 8 for drs appointments. I hope everyone is having a good week! Also please keep the students at Pinewood and the Johns family in your prayers as they go through the next few days as they lay a fellow classmate and son to rest.

Good morning everybody! I figured I would hop on and give y’all an update. Yes I am still here and the shop is open! My hours are 8:30-5:30 with lunch break from 1-2. The shop is still for sale. There are a couple people looking at it but as of now nothing has been finalized. Also I will be closed October 8 for a drs appointment. But I will update again next week! Just a reminder I will be open tomorrow! Instead of closing for Labor Day I will be closed Wednesday for a dr appointment. Also as of tomorrow I will be back to regular hours. 8:30-5:30 and I will close for lunch from 1-2. School starts back for Evans and Tattnall on Tuesday so come see me tomorrow for your back to school haircuts!

This is probably one of the hardest posts I think I have ever made. Yes the barbershop is for sell. I will continue to work until the shop sells. After that it will be up to the new owners as to whether I will still have a job. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts as I work through this. I love each and every one of y’all and I hope everything works out for the best. Marie

As most of y’all have already heard Rheta has retired. But what y’all haven’t heard is that Nova has left also. So it’s just me at the shop now. With that being said I need to know something from y’all. First choice...I can continue to close at 4 and work straight through lunch. Or Second option.... I can take a lunch break either from 12-1 or 1-2 and stay open till 5:30. Please let me know what y’all think and I will implement the changes next week. Also I will not be clos...ed on Labor Day next Monday. Instead I will work and take off Wednesday September 9 instead for a drs appointment. Thanks Marie See more
